It’s a pretty big world out there.

There are lots of guys raging with hormones looking for their soulmate.  Ladies, you gotta watch out for that.

In most cases this isn’t an issue, as social barriers, felony charges, as well as the sheer fear of looking like a fool restricts these guys from making moves.  Online dating is a whole nother beast though.

The problem with most dating sites is that the online environment serves no filter to these random guys.  A dimly lit computer screen, as well as the miles separating themselves from you (thankfully), provides the only filter there is, which is strictly a physical one.

Unfortunately, that still leaves you open to the barrage of requests and shown interest that is flinged at you like monkey poo.   If I wanted to be bombarded by creepy messages that make me question my faith in mankind, I would  sign up for some political mailing list.

In all honesty, I think their intentions are kind, but something about these messages makes me want to weep inside, and run to my parents for protection.

Here are some prime examples.  These are all completely genuine:

Example 1:

Subject: am not – not -looking for sex. Are there any truly modest women around these days????;

Message: You are very, beautiful…a couple of days ago, a woman said that is disrespectful to say that?? I mean it respectfully, and in search of, hopefully a life time partner. Sorry, my pictures aren’t the best quality. Photography is not really a hobby og mine, but I guess I’m going to get a digital camera, after all, for this site… Lol, I got some negative vibes about my muscular arms photo, you can disregard that. I thought woman like a handsome guy with muscles – lol, guess some mistake it for shallow, that was not my intent. Please read my profile carefully too, because the smallest uninted misunderstanding can ruin a potentially great partnership. So if you have any questions about what I wrote, don’t hesitate to ask! And, I will definitely clarify anything you want… Well, other than that, most other details are in my profile. I’m looking for outer and inner beauty, and you have both!

Wouldn’t it be great if there were ways to filter these random guys out?  To have it inclusive to people you know, and the people that know them.  There would be some accountability to it.  Some safety.  Some authenticity.
